Sprinkler Systems
A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection method consisting of a water supply system, providing adequate pressure and flow rate to a water distribution piping network, onto which fire sprinklers are connected. The system requires the temperature at the sprinkler nozzle to exceed a pre-determined threshold at which point the quartzoid bulb in the nozzle will rupture releasing the water flow from that nozzle only.as a result, this would extinguish a potential fire in that specific area. There are various types of quartzoid bulb’s which are rated at different operating temperatures to be used under various applications.
